After replacing the gasket seals a year or so ago, I need to remove it again (shift rod cover). This time its stuck real hard....
Any ideas how to chemically/thermally dissolve/loosen?
Tried a light tap with a mallet to 'break' the seal to no avail..

Thanks in advance!

Try tapping gently a a thin wedge while making its way in middle of both surfaces. Next time you change a gasket, not the cylinder head one though, apply a medium thick grease light coat at both sides of gasket and torque to specs. Will be able to remove it easily next time wanting to do so..
