Hi folks!

Need a little help.. I have an old bayliner boat (-89) with faria made gasoline meter. The old one is burned and now I have a new one with the same make and connections. Noticed a little text in meter and it goes something like this: "Not for use in a personal watercraft. Use of this instrument might result an fire and injury or death" What a (edit)? I got the meter from the owner who had the boat before me so I dont know where he bought it.

Do I need to get an other meter from somewhere else, or is it possible to use this without a risk? Open to ideas from you,

-Jaba-

Re: gasoline meter

It's ok for your use as your Bryliner is not a PWC.

Faria is still in business and available so a replacement should be quite str8forward.

Needless to say you disconnect the battery and do all wiring & connectors by the book, right?

Yep, I know the wiring prosedure, what do you mean by "It's ok for your use as your Bayliner is not a PWC"? The model is 1970 capri bowrider. OK to use the instrument?

-Jaba-

Something like
"personal watercraft" means a watercraft that is less than sixteen feet long, propelled by machinery powering a water jet pump and designed to be operated by a person who sits, stands or kneels on rather than sitting or standing inside the watercraft.
In Sweden known as 'vattenscooter', 'jet-ski' etc.
