Gauge problems on 1991 200HP 'Rude

New trim gauge doesn't work. I disconnected a 2 wire plug coming up from what I believe is the sending unit and I get very little change in resistance on my Ohm scale. Is this definately a bad sending unit?<br /><br />Folks on this forum recommended that I hook my Water Pressure gauge at the adapter lower starboard. I see an elbow there that has a line going up to the control valve...is this where I tee my water line to feed the gauge? Thanks

you are correct on the water guage hook up location and you are also correct on the sending unit problem.

Just one more follow up on this before I condemn the sender....I noticed today that when I engage the trim there is no movement until I fully tilt the motor up...then the needle goes all the way up on the trim gauge. Still a bad sender or maybe poor ground?
