How's that new TC pistol? Is your hand sore yet?

The Barre VT gun show is this weekend and that is where that guy Drake usually sets up all his TC accessories and barrels.

Bob

Re: Gaugeguy Toy update?

Hi Bob,
It has a boot to it, no doubt about it. I have found my hand doesn't really hurt, but my elbows got black and blue from slamming them against the shooting bench. So to get rid of that painful problem I went and bought a Shooter's Ridge pistol rest. I'm shooting consistant 1.5" groups at 100 yards right now with military surplus 7.62x51. Ive shot it off hand and even one handed but my groups are in the 6" category at 50 yards, so I need a bit more practice shooting like that.

I'd love to hit the show, but this weekend is the Rotary fishing derby on Winnipesauki, and I really want a new truck or even one of those $5000 prizes. I will catch up with him though as I already want to try out some new calibers.

Glad to hear it is fun. When I shoot my 45-70 my hand feels like I abused it with a hammer and it actually swells and makes my palm red.

Best of luck at the derby.

Bob

I don't know if I'd want to shoot a 45/70 with that, maybe 300 mag. would be the largest I'd go. I've owned dozens of firearms in my life, but this one is by far the best I've ever owned.

You ever fish the Conn. River?
