Hey whats up. I have a question about my gauges. My boat is a 1976 silverline comoro 18T with a ford 302 / mercruiser 888. I just bought it from my uncle about 2 weeks ago, and he said last time he used it ( about 2 years ago ) that all the gauges work. Well, i took it on the lake and the gauges didn't work. the lights on the gauges work though. I tried to look up some wiring diagrams, but haven't had any luck. the only gauge im really concerned about is the gas gauge, but it would be nice to have them all. Any suggestions? thanks for any help :D

Re: Gauges question

It's not unusual for a 30 year old boat to have a birds nest of wiring under the dash so a diagram is probably not going to be any use. If none of the gauges are working, it would be a fair bet that the problem is common such as ground connection or a main fuse etc.

The lights inside the gauges should be on a separate circuit which would explain why they are working, do the nav lights work?

Can you get under there and take a few pics?
