Hello,
Since spring seems to be coming early in Northern California I've begun some work to get the boat ready for fishing. The tach on my boat began showing erratic readings last season. Since my rig is a 1996 I thought now would be a good time to replace all the gauges on the instrument panel. I realize boat gauges are not the most accurate but I'm hoping for a recommendation on a brand that at least will be a quality replacement. I did replace the hour meter a couple years ago when I bought the boat (Faria). Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks,
Jcris

Sierra/teleflex used to be standard on just about every boat with a mercruiser engine. The quality is probably no better or worse than Faria or VDO. Gaffrig used to be very popular, but over the past 10-12 years, they’ve been surpassed by livorsi. Livorsi gauges are made to order. They’re going to cost a bit more than ready to wear gauges, but if that’s your thing, so be it.

Everyone has an opinion, The high end boat manufacture like Formula use VDO and Livorsi, others use . The entry and mid level boat manufactures use Autometer, Teleflex

I prefer VDO and they have every possible type of gage there is!

Ayuh,...... I prefer the ones that Work,......

The wet dash environment is tough on gauges, no matter the brand,....
