Has anyone ever had to have their gear box repaired or replaced on your Boat? I have a 1999 Triton TR-17 with a Force 120, the motor runs great the wierdest thing though, it will ony start if the gear shift is in forward or reverse but not in neutral. If i have the gear shift in forward or reverse it starts like a dream but straight up in nuetral it will not start so i have been starting the motor in forward(Which it should'nt do) then jamming it back to neutral then again in forward before i can run, sometimes it will go ahead and run & sometimes it won't, i am curiuous as to how much something like this would cost-it could just be a switch also, i will find out through a local Mercury dealer here in Acworth Georgia but just wanted to know how much of a bill i am looking at, i don't want to keep having to jam it into forward just to get it to run.
