Gear control adjustment

I raised my engine last yr about 2-3 up to where the cav plate and bottom of the hull are equal.

Since, I've had 2 issues. 1 is my reverse gear grinding in, can anyone point me in a direction as for adjusting this?

2nd, the engine won't turn as good to the left, is there a way to fix this as well?

Sounds like an issue with the control cables , maybe related to the new position of the engine, are they binding a bit?

I fixed the grinding with a 1/4-1/2" adjustment on the cables.

The steering seems to be more in the controls, just have to keep messing with it.
