Hi, was needing a bit of info about my problem with my outboard running in reverse when I put it in forward and forward when I put it in reverse, this all started after the lower leg was replaced with another from a 50 hp, so have been searching through the forum and think I found a solution to my problem, that is to swap the linkage over from a earlier 70 hp motor, I have included a picture of what I believe is the linkage I need as well as the linkage thats is already on my motor, by the way mine is a 1976 70 hp Johnson and I think linkage needs to be from a 1973 to 1975 70 hp to get this working properly. so am I right In doing this ?
