Replaced the water pump last weekend and now I have a new problem. The boat is a 1977 Mark Twain with a 165 hp inboard. I can see what appear to be cracks in the u joint bellows from below the drive. If this is bad which I expect, and the ujoint seal is bad would I have the lube in bilge problem and the milky lower unit lube. How hard is this to replace. I am mechanically inclined and a machinist so fixing things to me isn't usually a problem. Do I need a lot of special tools to do this. Also with the drive off is this the time to replace the gimbal bearing. Not sure if I need it just don't want to go back in later if I don't have to. Brian

I won't need any special tools if I get this apart will I because if I need a bunch of spaecial stuff I would rather take it to somebody to get it fixed. I have seen the price on some of these tools and I don't want the hastle.
