Gear Oil for Evinrude E2RCTD

Can anyone let me know what gear case oil I need for the above motor. Had a slight accident whilst replacing the impeller and have spilled some of the gear oil!!! Have figured is properly worth replacing it. Many Thanks in advance.

80/90 weight oil, made for marine lower units.

Johnny, You do know to replace the gear oil at least yearly, right?

Make sure to replace the gaskets around the fill and drain screws.

Many Thanks for your help. I'm going to attempt to change the oil this afternoon. Yes - I was aware I was supposed to change the oil yearly - only got this motor a few months ago (my first). I guess I should have changed the oil when I first got it!!

While on the subject of draining and refilling the gearcase on ths engine.

What is the correct procedure?

It only has one screw, not the usual drain and level screws.

What is the correct level when refilling it?

It seems you would have to elavate the lower end some ..so as you pour in the gear lube the air would escape from the fill hole....fill till it tops off ....

Or should you leave a small air space?
