Hi All, Recently bought a '74 - 16' Browning Fish and Ski. Have been out twice for some test runs. Nothing too hard and heavy. Removed and Cleaned the Carbs, Runs pretty good, Idle and Slow Speed is a little Rough. But that is another subject/POST ..LOL. I haven't been able to purchase the Manuals I'll need yet, probably next Month. ANYWAY... Without opening a whole can of worms about which Oils are best and Marine versus Auto and all that Jazz...!!!( I've read all those threads... ugh!) Just need to know what gear oil is Recommended for the Hydro-Electric Shift - Rudies. Tried searching for this, but didn't find this info directly. Thanks a Bunch....!

I believe you can get it right here on Iboat's marine store. You'll need a premium blend/type c if memory serves me correct. I use it in my '72 65hp Johnson.

To be Specific: It is called "Premium Blend" if purchased from an Evinrude dealer. If purchased elsewhere, such as here at iboats, it is called "Type C". Do not confuse with other gear oils labeled as "Premium".
