Is it ok to change to a fully synthetic gear lube after using normal gear lube in an outdrive the drive is an 1989 alpha 1 I know they say not to do this in cars but is it ok to go full synthetin in an outdrive??? Thanx Chris

Yes it's ok to do it in drives. I did it in my 97 Bravo.


It's also ok to do it in cars too. Some say not to because if there's a small leak with conventional oil there'll be a bigger leak using synthetic.
