gear oil

what color ishould your gear oil be when you drain it? mine came out a milky grey color but didn't seperate into water.

Milky gray is not good, it means water has mixed with the oil and not separated. It should be brown/black if no water in it. Could be time for a seal kit if it's quite milky.
