is there a way to tell the gear ratio on a bravo 2 outdrive by the serial number? approx how much horsepower will these units take? its almost boating season guys!!
They use them on all the MPI bigblocks and diesels, what are you wanting to put on it, I don't ever remember seeing a specific number for the max HP rating.<br /><br />
Don, cant get to lower unit right now, serial number according to owners manual is 0k097922. will this help? My 5.7 260 dropped a valve, have a new 383mpi coming next week, hope to see a huge difference in performance
