gear ratio for a 1991 40hp evinrude?

Does anyone know the gear ratio for this motor, it is a short shaft tiller if that makes any difference. thanks for the help<br /><br />Steve

The pinion has 12 teeth, the drive gears have 29 - ratio is 2.44:1<br /><br />-John
