I, for the life of me cannot find the shim code number or letter anywhere on the forward gear. Can anyone please clue me in as to the size and location I might such information. Also, would such information be stamped, lasered, etched, printed or ? on the gear. I might have located what might appear to be the numerial 20 lasered "very small and via very small dots" on the side of the gear. However, I might be biased to believe I am seeing the number "20" due to my uncertainty of the various readings I get when "mic"ing the shims. [shims sustained considerable damage when seperating the bearings inner race from the gear] The readings I am able to average out are .009" for the one steel shim and .007" for the two brass shims. HSG code on housing is "3". Codes 20 and 3 codes equal .023" for shim thickness [According to Seloc]
