I'm changing the lower end fluid on the new purchase. The shop sold me 2 quarts of gear oil. How much does it take and how do you get it in!!!! I pulled the upper and lower plugs, drained some really burnt smelling oil out and am now trying to figure out how to refill. Squeezing the quart bottle is VERY slow, there has to be another way. I have already forgotten which plug goes where, one is a threaded plug/o ring and the other is a threaded plug with a short, small dia extension. Which goes where?

Thanks!

The screw w/extention should be the bottom as it is magnatized. You just squeeze the oil in until it starts to come out of the tope hole. Put the top screw w/"o" ring in, the put in the bottom as quick as you can. You will loose a little fluid, no big deal as that will allow for expansion.
You can go to a marine store and get a pump which will fit the qt bottle and screw into the drain hole, lot easier that way. You should also change the gaskets/rings.
