Thinking of looking at a new prop for my 1980 70Hp Johnson. After I install my tach I just ordered will see what the RPM's say @ WOT the plate on the motor specs 4,500 to 5,500 RPM the prop on the motor is original and is in perfect shape marked 13 3/4 X 15 the boat is a small tri hull 15 foot open bow. One other thing how do I tell if I have a large gearcase or small . Are their any other considerations than engine rpm. Have read the prop FAQ'S
any suggestions would be welcome.

thanks
John

Re: Gearcase size

you can look up the correct props for your motor here, follow prompts. and go to gearcase. you can use those #s to choose a new prop.
