I have a small 14' fiberglass boat. the color is worn off on the ridge from rolling on and off the trailer.

Is that just gelcoat that wore off or something else?

One friend suggested an aftermarket "bow saver" that gets mounted on the ridge. Are those easy to find and install?

thanks

Its a 100hp mercury.

speed depends on where I prop it at but with the ski prop between 45 and 50. Haven't GPSed it yet.

It's called a Keel Shield. You can find them at Overton's. I couldn't past the link, sorry.

My dad had a late 60's Glasspar G3. He could do 60-65 with a 90HP Merc but not for very long as it got squirrly in a hurry. Nice boat! Of course that was with putting a 2x4 to lift the engine more out of the water. CRAZY!
