I am looking to be a first time boat owner and have a few questions about gelcoat repair. The boat is an 84' skeeter with a 28HP outboard. The underside of the boat has several spots in the gelcoat that has been cracked and a few where you can see the fiberglass. There is also a spot on the side where it has rubbed against the trailer.

Cost of the boat is $750
Overall condition is poor/fair with all the carpeting needing to be replaced.

Is repairing the gelcoat a difficult process or should I move on and spend more for a better boat? I would say the biggest sport to be repaired would be about one inch in length, but there are several repairs that need to be made on the underbody.

Thank you.

pics are worth 1000 words..lol if u can get some pics the many inteligent ppl here will chime in if there is structural damage or not, then again at 750 if the motor works and the boat floats, its not that big a loss either way
