There is no charging system available for that engine.

2) Say, for a 8 hour run time? Would the spot light be on all the time? For the rest:
2 running lights at 10w each, 2 amps (we'll say this although if the engine is off the bow light should be turned too)
1 VHF receiving, about 1/4 amp receiving, about 6 transmitting. Say 1 amp average.
1 3 amp bilge pump running 10% of the time, 0.3 amps average
So without the spot light, (2 + 1 + 0.3) x 8 hours means you need 26.5 amp hours. To keep the battery happy we wont discharge it past about 50%, so get a deep cycle battery of at least 53Ah (Amp hours) and you'll be just fine. I personally like the AGM (glass matt) batteries since they don't spill if they get broken, and don't need any sort of maintanance. They cost more though.
I think magneto is the word you're looking for there, and that refers to the type of ignition. The 10hp does use magneto ignition but like R.Johnson said no charging system.

To help keep your battery up, try one of the various solar chargers out there. They won't charge a flat battery, but they can keep one topped off if you aren't using it that much. If you're only using the light stuff for an hour or two before daylight, you'll be fine with the Deep Cycle battery and the solar charger. The bilge pump shouldn't draw that much that often - if it does then you have other issues.... :)
- Scott
