the purple wire going to my generator is connected at the terminal block on the motor but it has been taped over at he key switch[unhooked]. What ternminal at the switch does it connect to?<br />thanks<br />Ron
I guess that not anyone has had this problem before but can anyone tell me where the hell this wire goes.I connected it to the hot on the switch but don't know and this may be the reason the coil exploded.can anyone help?
Hi KonRon, the purple wire is typically the signal wire for the tach and doesn't connect to the ignition switch. So, without a tach it stays un-connected at the dash end or in your case taped to prevent shorts. Hope this helps.
