i need help get the linkages adjusted correctly don't have a manual or the money to get one to soon so i hope you can help me out i have a 1963 johnson 40 hp model number RK-25D serial number 2288160. I do hope to get a manual by next summer until then hope you all can help me thanks DUSTIN

When the pointer on the intake maninfold next to the cam follower roller aligns with the mark on the cam, the throttle plate should just begin to move. Attach a wire to the throttle plate shaft on the carburator to amplify/observe it's movement.<br />To adjust, loosen the clamp on the throttle plate shaft.<br />The pointer on the intake manifold is part of the manifold, and is the sharpish thing pointing up on it.<br />There's a good chance your local library has a copy of the manual you can look over. It may be in the reference section - ask a librarian.<br />Hope this helps!
