1. I come from a winter free land and am planing to move to Massachusetts. I see a lot of people mentioning of winterized boats
what is this and how is it done?

2. been told a lot to "get my carbs done" but am trying to learn to do all by my self (with your help) what exactly is meant by "getting them done"?
how do I do it? where do I learn in detail?

thanks in advance!

Re: getting carbs done?!

Check out winterizing under the faq section.
Getting the carbs done is rebuilding the carbs.(carburators)
Generally you leave well enough alone. If the motor stumbles or bogs
only runs with the choke on then its time for a rebuild.
If the motor has sat around alot the fuel system will need to be chrecked,
cleaned and repaired as required. You'll need a service manual if your going to be working on your motor.Sometimes you can find aftermarket manuals at the library.
