Thank you all for helping on my last post. Still working on the 1994 Mercury/Force Sportjet 90. I have the three Tillotson carbs rebuilt and outside of getting the idle right, I'm very pleased. My concern now is that I dont see enough or any oil burning. I've loosened the bleed screw and can see the oil making it to the pump through the clear lines. I also hear a loud knock every few minutes or so. Can anyone offer any suggestions on the oil and knock? i was worried the bendix might have been staying engaged or close but I have cleared that. Sounds internal and with the no visable oil, I'm hesitant to test run. I'm attaching pics of the motor and the oil inlet block. Is there an adjustment for more oil there? The small phillips head screw on the right is the bleeder.
