how do i do this? i am baffled. i've seen the housing pushed down on the impeller and then i've seen to put the impeller inside the housing first... and what about this drive shaft key, how does that stay on if the impeller goes into the housing first? Help!

I do it by placing the impeller on the driveshaft with the key, (all other parts in place, of course), lubing the impeller cup with dish washing soap, and while turning the driveshaft clockwise, push the impeller housing down on to the impeller. Install screws....etc.

If I have the impeller in the housing I hold key in with grease and align the impeller with the key.

One other hint. Once the impeller housing is installed, lift up on the drive shaft and rotate the shaft clockwise. This locks the key into the impeller notch.

i did it guys. It was easier doing it off the shaft and then sliding it over the shaft once I siliconed the gasket on the housing. That thing kept falling off. Thanks for the advice, I appreciate it very much.
