Hey guys,

Well I have found many people's posts on outboard information very helpful, so I thought I would add something that I found useful. Many of you probably know exactly how to achieve getting concrete hard glue off an aluminum boat, but for those of you that are new to the boating world like I am here is what I found. I recently got a can of some hardcore epoxy remover (metal can, not plastic can). From there I waited until evening when the sun was not hitting the boat, and applied a very thick coat of the remover with a paint brush. I then waited ten minutes and generously applied another thick coat. After 15 minutes I went out and used a 2 inch wide metal putty spachela and the cement had turned to a soft rubber subtance and it all came right off. I then went back with a 3M rough plastic grinding wheel you attach to a drill and removed all the thin residue left behing while also roughing up the aluminum surface. Now I have a clean rough surface to apply my rhino-liner. Saved me a lot of time and money stripping the floors that way. Hope this helped and happy boating everyone!
