Ok so I have some work to do under my boat. How do I get my boat off the trailer, And how do I keep it from touching the ground once its off. Hence needing to work under there. I have been reading posts for three days strait and cant find anything, maybe someone can point me in the right direction?

Since we don' know what you're working with, type of trailer, size and type of boat and other equipment you may or not have for your project, I just Googled "how to remove boat from trailer" and it appears there are over 42 million hits on the subject. I would try that and take a look at some of the posts and photos.

I'll make it quick...... place the trailer tongue on the ground as low as it will go..... that will leave the stern up high.

Block the stern securely and lift the tongue of the trailer.......the boat should be higher that the trailer in the stern and you can place a temporary support under the keel......

Hitch the trailer to the truck and with some friend slowly pull the trailer out from under the boat ...... BEFORE you get to the end of the trailer place additional supports under the boat hull as far forward as possible and continue to pull away the trailer.

If you have the friends and supports the entire process should take about 10 minutes and placing the boat back on the trailer is the reverse (and using the winch too).

Learn to use the SEARCH function!!!

and many many more..... I can not believe you used the search and been reading for three days and di not come across them.

If you are doing repairs to your boat/hull/motor the search function will become a great tool.

Look at the pictures in my post on page 3:

I did cut my trailer out from under my boat since it had to be rebuilt, but the pictures should give you an idea of what is needed to support the boat. Mine was very stable while off the trailer. Also I have pictures about how we put the boat back on the trailer which should apply to most situations.

Cool post guys. Thanks for the ideas. My boat has the engine out now and would be the perfect time to do this. I have a slanted drive through. Gonna be tough.

Old tires are good for support if your boat is light enough.
