I have to ask this question before i can post anymore info. I have 2 engines that im getting ready to sell. is it ok by the terms of service to describe them and ask what they should be worth? I want to make sure im not breaking any rules before i go into any details. im not trying to sell them here, i just want to describe them and get a ballpark of what i should ask for them.

Folks have done that, and invariably are told to search craigslist/ebay etc for similar motors for sale to see what others are asking.. Your local craigslist would be good search to see what they're going for in your area. Good luck!

that is a good idea but ive already looked and there is nothing to compare to. I just sold a 1986 225 rude for 1k and i had more calls on it than i could handle so i think i could have gotten more. I dont have much in either of these so if i dont get a baseline, i guess i will just double what ive got in them and add "or best offer" and see what happens. I got the 225 for free and made a grand off it just by spending a little time trouble shooting and sprucing it up. Not looking to get rich doing this but as long as im making a little extra, that is money i can put into my own boat.

Sorry, but this is a tech forum to ask questions about mtr probs, not sales probs. Try craigs list or E-bay. Thank you.
