I found this ole 13' Gheenoe(1974). Got her at a bargan for $80.00. I plan on using this boat for flats fishing here in Florida.

The only wood in the boat was the transom, and I just finished the job of replacing it.

The boat has three benches, the bow and stern bench have (new now)swivel seats. I plan on removing the forward and center benches, and adding a deck from bow seat location back to about 24" from the stern seat. Then from the stern seat back to the transom.

The new deck will hold my internal bow and stern livewells and a dry storage in the middle.

I have seen folks use wood covered with glass for this, but I want to use some of this foam laminate I have seen on a show called "Ship Shape TV".

Does anybody have any links to this material, and do you have any ideas on how this should be accomplished?

I'll add pics tonight.

phatrat,
Call that guy in north Cocoa who makes flats boats. I can't remember his name but his shop is just off US1. He has the stuff you need. I was there last year talking to him about it.
