Ghost motor '76 Johnson 135 sea horse

All right I have to solicit some help on this motor. Three hours on the net and my temper is running short. The motor serial number does not show up on any parts supply house lists. It's has the original plate attached to the mount and the "D" is hand stamped after the serial number 135EL76D. It's definitely a 135 "E" electric start "L" long shaft 76 1976? no listing for a 135 hp in 1976. "D" ? The 1975 listings use different serial numbers. Was this the last of the 135's? It looks like they discontinued them after '75

You've found one of the problems with the original factory electronic parts lists. For some reason they omitted the Johnson 115 and 135 parts lists and models that year. You will find the same parts (except the cowling/decals) in the 1976 Evinrude parts lists.

Thanks for that info. I did notice the parts were the same on the 76 parts list. But couldn't figure why the model wasn't listed. I'm not losing it after all!
