How often do you grease the gimbal bearing in a alpha 1 gen 2 drive. I have a nipple for greasing, just unsure how often I should.

Couple times a 50 hour boating year. I did mine a couple of times last season, and with the outdrive off for maintenance, I could see that it only took two pumps of my grease gun to have grease coming out around the bearing.

Re: Gimbal bearing grease nipple

Despite being so far from the launch, I trailer my boat there almost every weekend. I do a thorough pre-departure maintenance about every month. This includes greasing all fittings on the outdrive and trailer. My trailer rims always have excess grease slung on them:D. I'm of the school that : if a little is good, a LOT must be great!.

When it comes to lube, you can never have too much!

Realistically, if you grease it once or twice a season, you'll be just fine. I over do mine b/c of the dusty, dry tolls the desert plays on those things.
