Gimbal Bearing Snap Ring???

Hi there, I'm in the process of changing my gimbal bearing. I was under the impression that if you have the "new" style bearing you don't need the snap ring. Mine looks like the "new" style but it had the snap ring. Do I need to reinstall the snap ring? Also, can i just replace the bearing and not replace the ring? Great article - thanks.<br />I'm still concerned though why I still had the snap ring in there and if I need to put it back.<br />Also, does anyone know the link belt part number for the new bearing?

If you replace it all and not just the center bearing then you dont need the snap ring anymore.<br /><br /> web page

Trent I appreciate your help. <br />I don't think I'm making my self clear (probably because I don't know what I'm talking about).<br />It looks like I have the NEW style and the snap ring was also installed. I'm just trying to confirm this.
