Gimbal Bearing?

I had posted awhile back about receiving a gimbal beearing from amarket.com and had stated that it looked different then the one I have in my Gen 2 transom. I was told that a Gen 1 is probably what I had received and needed a Gen 2. I spoke to Amarket and they said that they are the same gimbal bearings. Is this true.

Mercruiser has used Only 2 Gimbel Bearings in it's standard production units,..........<br /><br />1 Bearing for Everything Up to the Alpha 1s,................<br /><br />And Then,..... Alpha 1s, Everything After it's introduction takes the 2nd Bearing............<br /><br />So,...... Ayuh,..... Alpha 1s,.... Alpha 1 GenIIs,... And Bravos All use the Same Gimbel Bearing..........<br /><br />As a matter of Fact,...... I Believe that Volvo,+ OMC Uses/Used the Same Gimbel Bearing............<br /><br /><br />BTW,........ What's amatter with the 1 you Got,..???......

It looks different then the one in the transom so was sure if I could use it.

Do you have a picture of your "New" one that doesn't look right?
