Hello all
I’ve got all new parts and tools to replace my gimbal bearing and oil seal. I’ve found lots of videos on replacing the bearing and feel pretty comfortable with tackling that. However I’ve found almost nothing on changing the seal. So I’m hoping for some good pointers on that. Thanks in advance.

Yes sir, I have the manual and have reviewed it. Sure enough, it says to remove the old bearing and seal, then install new ones. Not exactly the level of insight I was seeking, but I’ll make it work.

I actually found a really good video on this process with lots of good tips. I’ll try and see if I can post the link. Might help someone else.

Went to pull the gimbal bearing today with the new tool i bought and the bolt hole pattern on the tool plate doesn’t match the outdrive bolt pattern. After looking at lots of videos I realized they are all older outdrives than mine. So perhaps the bolt pattern is different?. Mine is an 07 SX-A. Can anyone recommend a good tool that will fit that drive? Thanks.

I was finally able to pull the bearing by rotating the jack plate in order to seat on two bolt holes on opposite corners. Worked perfectly.
