Been looking for an older trihull to buy and this one has caught my eye. I haven't seen it in person yet(going tomorrow) but what do you guys think?

Floor/trans/stringers all seem to be in good shape. What do you guys think?

Some of the guys here that have or have had Airslots seemed to have liked them well enough.

Just from the pictures, I would say that that boat has been exposed to the elements for a good part of its life...most likely at a dock ( what's left of the ablative paint on the hull , and the decals are the clue there ).

I'd find out how much the boat is supposed to weigh with the motor, and then bring it to a weigh station and get it weighed....figure a rough estimate for the boat with the trailer, motor and boat and then see what the the difference is. If it is really heavy, then you probably have a water logged boat and might want to think otherwise. I'd say you are probably in good shape though, if the drain hole isn't constantly wet. If it's dry, then chances are the boat is too.

Is painting the hull an option? I'm more than willing to do it myself once the fall hits. I'm semi-familiar with painting automobiles and such, so not too scared to take it on.

I'm going to look at the boat tomorrow and take it out on the water, you will definitely be seeing a lot of me if it goes well!
