Saturday at the lake, 8-lane ramp with a courtesy dock for each lane. I've launched already and watched as I pulled away from the dock. A powerboat is lined up on the far left-hand lane just finished prepping in and starting back down, when a small truck with three sailboats (sun-fish) on a trailer pulls up short and cuts in behind him at nearly a 90-degree angle. At least four of the remaining 7 lanes were unoccupied. The powerboat had to make nearly a right-angle turn in reverse to angle over to the next empty lane; otherwise he'd of had to wait I don't know how long it takes to launch three sailboats from one trailer.

I had three children in the boat, else I might have waited around to see the fireworks.

what's up with that?

Sounds like a case of "to h*ll with you I'm the only one who matters." And that attitude seems to be gaining popularity.

Didn't you know that there are certain people who have the inalienable, God Given right to:

go first, turn from the wrong lane, cut off oncoming traffic, merge onto the highway at 30 miles per hour, merge onto the highway at 95 miles per hour, change lanes without a signal or gap big enough for thier car, talk on the cell phone, read a book, and play with the kids while driving, and put their boat into the water before anyone else, and that it is YOUR AND MY responsibility to stay out of their way? You didn't get that memo?
