Glassed in Transducers

Should I glass in a extra transducer for a backup.I have never had a problem with a transducer...Should I spend the extra $$$$$

Musky<br />I agree do not do it until you need it, but transducer is most likely part to fail. The crystals do go bad in time. Only exception would be if your unit is old and you think they may stop making the transducer and you really like the unit. Then I might buy and store it inside out of heat until you need it.
