I have a question. How should I go about glassing the stringers in my tri-hull? The center stringer is about 12 feet long. I am going to be doing this by myself so it will be necessary to coat them in place. Should I place the glass and wet it out in pieces, or try to wet it out all in one long piece? I do not have a wet out table long enough. I might be able to do 6 feet at a time though. Wet it out, roll it up, roll it out on the stringer, roll it down?

Re: Glassing Stringers

You can and should do it in peices unless u are confident you can get it all wet out and air rolled in one session. How much you can do on your own depends on a lot of variables, weather, temp., inside or out, type of resin and so forth. If you do it in sections, make sure you overlap by about six inches if doing in peices.
