I am considering buying a Glastron SX175 w/ the 3L. After searching the forums a bit, I see that people are saying the entry level price is around $10,999 to $11,999. Does this include trailer? (I know it does not include prep, tax, registration..)

The reason why I am asking is that the dealer is giving me a price of $12,980. This is with the 3L Volvo/Penta. Sundeck seating & snap carpet, trailer w/ swing tonge.

Does this seem like the right price? This is lot of money and I want to make sure I get the best value.

Thanks,

Greg

That sounds about right, at least in my area. Why are you getting the 3.0L? If it is available, go for the 4.3L. You will be much happier in the long run.

Craig

Re: Glastron 175 (cost?)

I usually only wakeboard. My buddy has an older 16' with the 3L Mercruiser and I think it has more than enough for what I want to do. But I will try both.

For the $10,999 and $11,999 prices, what is included (or not)? Does that include trailer and what options make this price hit $13000?

Is $13000 about right or am I getting screwed?

I have a Glastron 175 (1994) with the 3.0 engine and am happy with it. Don't wakeboard but it has no problem pulling 2 kids on a tube. Top speed is around 38mph - would be nice if it were a little faster but it is also very nice not to have to fill up the tank every time I go out.

I have a '98 Manta Ray with a 3.0L Mercruiser. It has plenty of power for skiing, etc. The top speed with me 200 lbs, wife 125, is 46 mph if the water is just right. Average at WOT is probably around 44 so the 3.0 isn't too much of a slouch although I'd be much happier with a 4.3. :) Have fun with whatever you buy.

Shoot !! I forgot the important part. I paid $12,800 for boat and trailer. So your price seems to be fair.
