After 200,000+ miles my trany is starting to go. I've decided to agive it a few weeks before yanking it out(to really get my money out of it.) Made some of the special tools that will be needed, wanted to know if anybody got any experience with a 700r4.
thanks

yup, just remember the longer you run it the more damage you are doing, you going to rebuild it or replace it?

rebuild, 3/4 gone. I'm not actually driving it. Just waiting for the rebuild kit to come in, will be here in a week. i use it for pulling and plowing snow, its a 89 I've heard some of the early ones had some problems. I'm very happy with the amount of life I got out of it.

it's not a really bad job, you will need a manual, hardest part is getting servo/clutch pack seals in without cutting the lip but there's little tricks just keep posting,
