i just installed one on my 93 mer 25hp. the boat used to take forever to plane, porpoise bad in the 20-30 mph range(stop from there up to 38) cavitate in turns, and fall of plane at 20 mph. now i plane in seconds, no porpoise at ANY speed, more positive trim, no cavitation and no loss of speed! i can't beleive i didn't do this earlier. and for only $40 canadian (thats $15us)<br />best money i ever spent. go for it guys!

put it on your keel and you might pick up a knot or 2. for a grand total of 4 knots. hold on buddy.

I tried a hydrofoil and the only thing it did for me was knock 2 MPH off the top end .

actually sloopy my wife and i race a martin 242, we have gone over 20 knots reaching with a spinnacker. what a rush! i also have a laser and a 420. both very fast planing boats.

I was Joking, I have gotton to 25 in a thunder storm, boat heeling 40 degrease nd no reef in the main, just pointed down wind andheld on for the ride, my jib stretched 4 inches

Read about the stingray brand. There are other brands but all based on same concept.<br /><br />BL...

I found out that when your engine cavitates it's usually due to having the wrong prop & pitch.. I called Force to find out my proper pitch when I bought my boat.. the prior owner had a 15, I needed a 13x19,,,,, yeah,, what a difference that made... but still used the Hydro's after that.
