Today is the Grand Prix of Brazil. Last race of the 2007 season.

Three drivers are in contention for the world championship.

Lewis Hamilton. Multi-ethnic British rookie of astounding talent leads by 4 points. McLaren Mercedes.

Fernando Alonso. Spanish two-time Champion seeks a three-peat. Trails LH by 4 points. McLaren Mercedes.

Kimi Raikkonen. Finnish "Ice Man" and perennial contender. Has won more races but trails LH by 7 points. Ferrari.

Kimi is my favorite driver and it is his turn, but Lewis is sooooo good. Either deserves to be Champion. I don't think Fernando's petulant behavior this season has been worthy of a third crown.

Who is your pick? SPEED Channel, 11:30 EDT.

Dang! I missed almost the whole pre-race! I had it in my head that it started at 11:30 local. Had to reset DVD.

IMO, Lewis has to mess up pretty bad not to win and I don't think he'll mess up that bad. I like Massa for the race win, though. Whoa! How about that move by Massa! What a teammate!

Hmmm. Maybe Lewis WILL mess up bad enough to take himself out of it.

Yes! Massa must be the ultimate team player and Lewis made one of his very rare mistakes. Alonso has no excuse after he crowded Lewis (his teammate!) off on lap one and put him behind several nearly unpassable drivers.

I am very happy for Kimi. He has been among the fastest drivers for several years but has been plagued by mechanical failures. He earned this one, big time.

Massa deliberately did everything he could (legally) to help Kimi win the race and the Championship. Kimi owes him a lot. Many will believe that Massa could have won the race, but then Kimi wouldn't have won the Championship.

I don't remember the second and third place drivers for the Championship ever being tied, much less only one point behind the winner.
