Well, there has been a wake bopard setting in my ski locker that nobody wanted to try over the past few weeks. A friend lent it to me and tole me to try it out, but I couldn't get the kids off the dang tube and get another drive in my boat over the past few weekends so I could get out and try the board.

I used to ski, about 15 years ago. Nothing exciting... just some riding. Anyway, tonight me and a friend are taking it out. Any quick pointers as to not hurt myself.

How fast should I have him drive the boat, and how hard should he hit the throttle to get out of the water.

BTW, I have a Sea Ray 195 Sport boat with the 220hp 4.3L FI engine.

no it worked better for me when i was learning to go slower, cause just hittin the throttle will rip the rope right out of your hand. you should go fast enough until the wake just starts to wipe cap like a wave. in my 87 sea swirl 4.3 thats about 20-22

It's critical you have just the right speed, too fast and your struggling to stay up, plus a tiny little wake, to slow and your also fighting to stay up, and wake washes away Perfect speed you'll have a nice wake and you will feel comfortably with the speed.
