well guys after last year storage i uncovered to find my white areas of my pontoons seats to have lots of mildew. so we pulled the front seats and painted the white areas with a couple coats of rustoleum vinyl paint and it came out nice well this year we uncover the boat and find it is still in about the same condition it was in last year since we never had the time to finish it the right way. so to add this to my project list i am going to be taking all my toon furnature out here soon and painting all the white vinyl with the paint. but this time instead of 1-2 coats we will be going with about 5 coats and then a good vinyl sealant to try and protect it. i dont have the 5k to spend on new signature brand seats that came with my boat. it is also odd that my colored areas of the seats are not messed up.

10 coats of paint will not stop mildew from forming. Do a search here and you will find many ways of preventing or minimizing mildew.
