36V golf cart.
Are these just like 3 12Vs or maybe 6 6Vs?
Can they be replaced with marine deep cycle batteries?

While i dont do Golf carts

I do 24V floor scrubers and pallet jacks and the most common combo is 4 X 6 Volt

It allows you to cram the most amp hours with the simplest wireing connection in the battery trays

only thing i can think of, the original golf cart batteries may be special to allow for faster charging. if not, just remember to wire 'em up in series.

Don't know, the charger is suppose to chage them up full in 5 hours.
I took a peek at it yesterday but it was late and I did not pay much attention to what they were.
I do know that there was 3 trays that they set in, just did not notice if it was 3 12s or 6 6s.

They're almost always 6V. As mentioned, to gain the most amps.

As stated almost all are 6 X 6V batts. EZ-GO did make a few 48V carts (not sure if they still do) that were 4 X 12V.

They're 6 volt, I used a couple in series on my boat, they provide great deep cycle performance and can be charged more often than just about anything else.

Re: Golf Cart Batteries

Industrial batteries (including golf cart) are made in a variety of configurations, including 36v.

Many of them are single 2.2V cells connected in series and mounted in a case.

Extremely good for deep storage but very VERY heavy.

They also make 8 volt golf cart batteries.
Best price I've seen on 6 volt golf cart batteries is at Costco. I use 2 in series for my 5th wheel. You must replace all of them at the same time. If you don't, the old ones will drain the new ones.

Ditto what Bucky said, you do have to replace them in pairs!
