Gonna buy my first board

So, I am about to purchase my first board. I have everything else for towing(towed skiiers before). The local marinas and Dicks have boards under 200 bucks. I am 5'10" and about 190lbs.What do you think?

Go to a specialty shop, where they specialize in water skis and boards, they will educate you in the proper size board for your experience, and match you up with some boots. Try them on, get a feel for them, you want a comfortable ride. Then check Dicks, Overtons, and Craigslist, plus try Barts and Lake Elmo watersports, and different manufacturers websites. Some have sales going on. Don't buy the first thing, get educated first. Google wakeboards, there are a ton of deals out there.

Yes, do some research to be sure you're getting what you need. At a minimum, read through this link.

I'm similar in size to you (a little lighter) and I ride a 138cm and a 140cm. You'd be be best off with a board in this range. Probably best to start off with a 140 to give you a little more stability.

Definitely shop around for deals though. You'll find the best prices on prior year closeout gear.

Evo Gear. I am waiting on my setup, an 09 Lyman and some 08 Answers, 300 bux shipped. New they'd be like 800!!!
