http://www.boattrader.com/find/listing/1999-Sea Ray-230 BR-95126769

I have already had 2 deals fall through: #1 had an inspection and found serious issuses with the boat that were not disclosed in the originations of the deal. #2 Saw a listing on boattrader.com and called them about the boat, when I caled back 30 minutes later to put some $$$ down it was sold!!! EEEEKKKK!!

So this is the boat I am going to lock down tomorrow morning with some $$$ down. I am going to get a marine survey thanks to the advice of the forum since that is what caught the issues with my previous potential. Any thoughts on this particular boat? Thoughts?

imho aobut 7,000 over priced in todays market. Basically an 11 year old boat.

Boat looks fine. The price is way too high, unless the boat is absolutely perfect. Obviously you'd want to have it inspected. Hours are good for a boat that age. They show it's been used, but not overused, in my opinion.

It's not quite $7000 over priced, but it is close to $5000 overpriced, unless it's perfect. Then it's $2000 overpriced.

People need to check reality when it comes to their asking prices on boats this summer.

in this market that is what i would pay for it. there are just too many boats to chose from. NADA on a boat over 5 years olds is absolutely usless.

Start with $10,500 if it's perfect. And if you have to go up from there, do it.

In my opinion, that boat looks fantastic and in great condition. If other boats in your market are similarly priced and this one is the best deal for YOU I wouldn't lose a lot of sleep over "overpaying" on it.
