To clarify, it is chine walking and that is bad, lots of bad things can happen when your boat is doing that, I would slow down when it starts.

The cavitation plate shoudl be 1''-2'' below the level of the hull.

Look into getting a GPS, the pitot tube speedos are notoriously wrong so you could be going 55 or 45 or 65.

Well first things first: (A) Why do you have a whale tale as you should not need it?(B) What brand prop?(C) What size setback jackplate(4",6",8"10")?(D) What is primary use of boat?(fishing, sking, both)

Not really about being a poet or not, more about understanding the post. Clearly wasn't an attack againt you but when you are left wondering what "gonna reck china walking bad" means , I thought the post was from a spam bot , I was expecting to read the topic and then read about the next big stock or viagra.

Re: gonna reck china walking bad

It is normal to setup a boat so that when you are on plane and the engine is trimmed out, the water running from under the boat transom passes just under the engine's antiventilation plate just above the prop. If the engine is mounted lower than that setting, it will cause exess drag and water spray at the back of the boat-resulting in slower speeds and poor fuel economy. The performance guys that have a high rake prop tend to mount the engine slightly higher to decrease drag and increase speed.
